What Our Customers Are Saying
My hydrotherapy tables have been extremely dependable and require only a minimal amount of maintenance despite running most of the day every workday since 1996. It is hard to imagine a more therapeutic modality. The combination of heat and massage (both of which are adjustable) have a wonderful effect on all the soft tissues from the lower lumbar spine to the occiput at one time.
I would highly recommend the Sidmar hydromassage table to any professional who is interested in providing greater service for their patients while increasing revenues.
Our hydrotherapy table paid for itself in just a couple of months. We charge per session and we have found it to be an economical therapy which takes very little of our time. And as the saying goes, time is money!
As a Chiropractor, I would recommend the hydrotherapy table to any doctor who wants their patients satisfaction, compliance and health to improve.
I believe the word “serendipity” best describes my experience with my Sidmar hydromassage table, for it has been “a fortunate discovery made accidentally”. For years I had been trying to incorporate the healing properties of relaxation through massage into my practice, but to no avail. After three massage therapists had come and gone, I began to recognize some fundamental problems with the process.
- I didn’t really want to hire another staff member to manage.
- When I rented space to independent therapists, they often kept variable hours and were not available for my patients when I needed them.
- Even when they were available, the process of getting undressed, receiving the massage, and getting dressed again was time consuming. Too many patients considered this time a luxury which they couldn’t afford.
- My county laws did not allow cross-gender massage (talk about antiquated!), so either only one sex could continue to receive the benefits, or I would have to hire one therapist of each gender.
As you can see, I was getting “stressed-out” by trying to find an easy way for my patients to release their stress. That’s when I “accidentally” came across your ad in one of the Chiropractic magazines. My eyes grew wide as I realized that dry hydromassage was the answer to all my problems:
- Your table requires almost no maintenance (no management, and it doesn’t talk back or have personality conflicts with other staff members).
- Your table is available 24/7, and never shows up late.
- Your table provides a “power massage” without undressing, and in just 5 to 10 minutes (such a little time that patients now feel they can’t afford not to do it!).
- I don’t think Jacuzzi’s come in genders, do they?
Once we tried your Massage Time Pro table for the free trial period, we knew we would never give it back. Suddenly, all those patients who couldn’t “afford” to spend the time before were lining the hall, eagerly awaiting their turn on the “dream machine”. Our main problem now is trying to pacify all those patients who don’t want to get off the table when their turn is over!
We typically put someone on the table for 5 minutes post-adjustment, and have them listen to music designed to relax their nervous system. Our goal is to allow their body some “down-time” to absorb and integrate the new neurological information introduced through the adjustment.
In our practice, we utilize the Insight 7000 Subluxation Station (SEMG, thermal gradient studies, and digital inclinometry) to objectively monitor each patient’s progress. Through pre and post hydromassage spinal scans, we have clearly seen the positive impact your table has made. Patients exhibiting both chronic hypertonicity and hypotonicity of spinal support muscles have balanced and normalized with regular table use. Even more importantly, they show an improvement in autonomic function (internal health) faster, and the ability to hold an adjustment longer than those patients who don’t use the table!
Our patients know that hydromassage feels great, as they drift out of our office wearing a grin from ear to ear. We know that the hydromassage is actually helping them become happier and healthier individuals, getting more out of each adjustment we give. What more could we ask for…except, maybe another table?
For eleven years of practicing chiropractic, I have worked inordinately long hours at my office. I never have much understood the need for attending seminars that help doctors “rekindle their passion” or “decrease their burnout”. I truly enjoy stepping into my office each and every day that I arrive. I begin every day with a two-hour workout and then work 12-hour days and, consequently, I get physically tired by the end of each workday.
Frankly, I embarked on a search for a hydrotherapy table for the office, primarily for my own use. I wanted something to relax my back muscles, all of them, not just one grouping or area. I knew that I did not have time to utilize my massage therapist and, although the idea of a Jacuzzi in the office seemed appealing, it required getting wet, having to shower afterward, and a considerable amount of time in maintenance and overseeing water quality.
Accordingly, I began to look for a hydrotherapy table. There are a number of choices available on today’s market. Some come from familiar manufacturing names and some look like incredible space-age contraptions. The choice appeared to be a difficult one. I have to state without hesitation that, after trying most every model available, I laid upon a Sidmar table and, within a minute of use, had made my choice. The arrangement of the jets and the fact that these rotated and moved made the table by far the best feeling, the most active, the most immediately effective of the many models I had tried.
Two weeks later, I had one of these tables set up in my therapy suite. I began personally using the table two to three times per day, at breaks and the end of the day. I found my energy increased and that my back was much more relaxed and comfortable. Additionally, I noticed that I was able to lift more weight and work more intensively during my exercise sessions each day.
Having such good success myself, I began to share the hydrotherapy table with my patients. In my office, we do and always have done a lot of other therapies and soft-tissue modalities. Patients have always been pleased with these and have responded more quickly and effectively to their treatment as a result of my use of physiotherapy. Virtually without exception, each patient that I introduced to this table quickly rated it as their favorite therapy. To date, I have received nothing but rave reviews regarding the hydrotherapy machine.
To introduce the table to my patients, I began by offering all active patients a free session on the table. This was followed by my writing a letter to all patients that I had seen in the prior two-year period and inviting them for a free check-up and session on this machine. The results were extraordinary, resulting in continued care by active patients, increased numbers of reactivated patients and a substantial increase in the referral of new patients.
Upkeep and maintenance have been virtually non-existent. The table is extremely easy to work with and has proven to be a workhorse in a busy office.
The Sidmar hydrotherapy machine has unquestionably resulted in increased referrals and patient satisfaction in my office. The result has been increased practice success and income. Thank you for producing such a fine product.
It is with great pleasure that I write and tell of my experience with Sidmar’s hydrotherapy tables. I was first introduced to your tables at a state convention and was invited to give it a try. I hesitantly responded with a comment like “If I get on that table, I’ll have to buy one.” Well, within 10 minutes I was sold.
Within two weeks, I had a table and was allowing my patients to experience the benefits. Two months after that, the table had already paid for itself! My initial reluctance has definitely turned into immediate recommendation for anyone seeking a way to boost income and help patients get well!
Our patient response has been overwhelming! Patients began purchasing time on the table in minute increments. For example, 20 minutes would value $20. We soon discovered that most patients wanted more and more time on the table and of course that led to more and more individual transactions. Nothing wrong with that but it was causing more work for my staff so we decided to offer hourly packages. We were pleasantly surprised at how many patients preferred buying time in advance!
Once the word got out that we had this new type of table that felt like getting in a whirlpool without having to get wet, we found that people would actually be willing to drive over an hour to try it! And they’re still coming! This has proven to be the best investment I have made in the practice. Thank you for developing such a wonderful therapy table that helps us give patients the gift of health through natural methods.
The hydrotherapy table has been a catalyst for practice growth at our clinic.
I have advertised in the newspaper, yellow pages, radio and our local movie theater. I have given lectures, conducted food drives and had my share of patient appreciation days. I have tried and given up on my share of practice management companies, but never have I seen the results and referrals generated as I have with our new hydrotherapy table. Our clinic is the talk of the town.
Every single patient who has tried the hydrotherapy table falls in love with it – they all want to take it home!
We have clients that only want the hydrotherapy sessions and happily pay cash for a block of sessions without even blinking an eye. One woman, who is a gourmet chef at a local restaurant, who has problems with neck and mid-back tension told me, “I have tried chiropractic adjustments and massage therapy, but the only relief I have ever received was from your hydrotherapy table”. This patient and others look forward to their sessions. It is their own personal mini-vacation.
The hydrotherapy table is excellent for those who have had low back surgery and especially for senior citizens, as it is gentle yet effective. We have also noticed that our patients who seem down in the dumps before a hydrotherapy treatment come out cheerful and thankful for their relief from not only their muscle tension, but their emotional tension as well.
Children love the hydrotherapy table. It seems to have a relaxing, calming effect on them. I would also like to add that the size of the patient does not matter when using the hydro-bed. We have several big patients, the biggest being 400 pounds.
I feel the hydrotherapy table is the best investment I have ever made. It is a win-win situation for both the patient and doctor. The patient wins in that they feel relaxed, with pain and tension reduced, if not gone. The doctor wins in that the patient advertises for him by giving many referrals. Patients are more than happy to pay cash for this service. It is also a service that most insurance companies will pay for.
Thanks to the hydrotherapy table, our practice is not the usual hum-drum, but is electrified. It was money well spent!
When I was first approached by a Sidmar representative on placement of a hydrotherapy in my practice, for 1 week with no commitment, I was hesitant. I had used every therapy known to mankind and just didn’t need another one. Was I ever wrong!
What transpired after one week was amazing! Never had I seen such favorable reaction by patients over a therapy! Needless to say, I immediately called my lender over to my office and told him I’d like to show him a new piece of equipment I was considering adding to the practice. After a 15 minute treatment he not only asked how much money I needed but how he could become a patient!
I have used a hydrotherapy table from Sidmar now for approximately 4 years and have seen at least 1,000 patients enjoy and benefit from over 15,000 treatments on my table! Obviously the table has paid for itself. During this time we have seen patients with every imaginable condition benefit from it’s use.
I practice in a small north Georgia town of 15,000 and have new patients come in every week stating, “I would like to try THAT TABLE everyone is talking about!”
The hydrotherapy table paid for itself within a week, due to the facts it is an unattended therapy, reimbursed by insurance, and patients will want to use it again and again.
It has become apparent that hydrotherapy plays a big part in my practice. For the very stressed patient who needs total relaxation before an adjustment, to the patient whose chiropractic adjustment holds a lot better after hydrotherapy. I thank the folks at Sidmar for playing a role in the success of my Chiropractic practice here in this mountain town in north Georgia!
I have a predominantly personal injury practice, and since I’ve implemented the Sidmar hydrotherapy tables into my office amazing things have happened. My patient volume has sky rocketed, patients are more compliant with care, and have stated that they enjoy coming to my office because they know they are going to feel so much better!
Once patients are placed on the hydrotherapy table, the expression that instantly appears on their face is practically indescribable. Some patient responses have been, “Can I take this home with me?”, “It feels so wonderful I don’t want to stop.”, “This water table feels like heaven on earth.”, “Once I’m well, can I pay just to come in and lie on the water table?”, or my favorite one “Can I trade my husband in for this table?”.
Not only is the hydrotherapy table good because it feels so great, it’s also easy for my patients to comprehend the therapeutic benefits of the table. For instance, the adjustable speed water jets that aid in breaking up adhesions (micro scar tissue) formed by long standing inflammation, and the adjustable heating component that allows for increased blood circulation to damaged muscle tissue so that they heal faster. Furthermore, the heating component coupled with the water jet action causes overall relaxation to surrounding muscular tissue.
The Sidmar hydrotherapy table has proven to be a tremendous asset to my now booming practice. My patients are happier and referrals to my office are at an all time high. It seems that the hydrotherapy table makes a great conversation piece when patients are referring their family and friends to our office, because when new patients come in they say they can’t wait to try those water tables they’ve heard so much about. Being that it is non-invasive, it is great for people of all ages, kids seem to love it too.
Not only is this table the best hydrotherapy table on the market, but the service that accompanies it is impeccable – unmatched by any company that we’ve purchased equipment from. Your service representatives are not only friendly, informative, and efficient, but are actually there to assist you when you need them. A superb product accompanied with exceptional service, what a dream come true!
Thank You Sidmar for inventing such a fabulous table that is definitely a great asset to our practice. I highly recommend this table to any doctor who would like happy healthy patients.
The hydrotherapy experience is the ultimate relaxation get-a-way. Lay down, close your eyes and instantly you forget about life’s stresses, you hear the faint sound of Kenny G, soothing trickling water, and a gentle hum drifting you off to sleep.
Not only is the hydrotherapy table relaxing but it is therapeutic too. Patient’s muscles become relaxed with the increase in circulation, making adjustments much easier for the patients.
Before the hydrotherapy table, my office used muscle stim and soft tissue massage to work on muscle spasms and soft tissue injuries before adjustments. Patients were getting bored with muscle stim and my massage therapist is booked every half hour, draining my pocketbook. I needed a modality patients would enjoy, and offer them something they could not find at many other practices. The hydrotherapy table was the perfect choice.
Patients love it and send in family and friends to try it out for themselves. Geriatric patients love to soothe their tired muscles, and patients love to take cat naps while increasing circulation and relieving muscle tension.
When I am busy with all treatment rooms full, the hydrotherapy table goes to work. When I take patients to the room, they say “See you in a half hour Doc, I need a nap.” At lunch my C.A. has to wake me up, I use the hydrotherapy table myself, I recommend it to all doctors who want to increase patient response and referrals. Thanks Sidmar!
In May of 1998 I opened Healthwise Back, Neck, & Extremity Care Center on a very tight budget. I had one adjusting table, a good used x-ray machine, and only myself to answer phones, do all therapies, exams, and adjusting.
The patients started coming and my business grew faster than I had ever expected. I had a small waiting room and, with my philosophy of care, I didn’t want people sitting idle for very long. I needed a way to have my patients feel they were being helped instead of just sitting in my waiting room. I wanted to prepare my patients before their appointments, but I could not afford to hire a Chiropractic assistant. I heard of the Sidmar hydrotherapy beds and inquired about them. I purchased a Massage Time Pro in July of 1998.
The hydrotherapy bed turned out to be one of the best investments I have made for my clinic. I placed the bed in my empty massage therapy room, dimmed the lights and played soft music. I taught patients how to use the bed so when they arrived and I was busy, they could just go into the room and enjoy the bed for 15 minutes. This kept patients out of the waiting room as well as relaxed and prepared them for their adjustment. The hydrotherapy bed was my receptionist and Chiropractic assistant.
I was able to hire a Chiropractic assistant in September of 1998. She teaches patients how to use the bed. She loves the hydrotherapy bed as well because she does not have to worry about getting ten to fifteen minutes behind. She can always put a patient on the bed for fifteen minutes to catch up.
The hydrotherapy bed is a big hit with my patients, in fact, many ask if they can come to their appointments early to be sure to have time to get their turn on the bed.
The extra bonus to having the bed in the early days of my clinic was that the patients loved the table and I could bill them or their insurance for the therapy. My hydrotherapy bed makes sense on several levels; it is an extremely effective therapy, it is unassisted therapy and therefore inexpensive, and the patients really enjoy it. I make money as well as keep my patients happy and healthy.
I believe the hydrotherapy bed paid for itself in the first two months not only in dollars, but also by lowering my stress level. Today I have many patients who come to the clinic just to use the hydrotherapy bed.
The Massage Time Pro helped me build by practice faster than I ever expected, and today, I am busy enough to support two hydrotherapy beds.
Prior to getting our hydrotherapy table, our only relaxation therapy was a Spinalator intersegmental traction table. We had good response with it and were pleased with its therapeutic effects. However, after installing the hydrotherapy massage table, we contacted quite a few of our inactive patients and invited them to come and try it so we could get some subjective input on it. The response was overwhelming. Everyone loved it and it even re-activated several of the inactive patients that tried it.
The tables therapeutic effects are great, patient response is great and patient retention is tremendous. It’s also a great break for me and my staff during the lunch hour. Everyone enjoys its benefit.
In my seven years of practice, the hydrotherapy table is by far the best all around piece of therapy equipment I have purchased! The tables value to reimbursement ratio is tremendous. Thank you for such a great product.
I was originally introduced to the Sidmar massage tables in 1992. At that time, I was working in a multi-doctor facility in Oregon. We were attending a seminar and one of the vendors had a table on display. Being the inquisitive person I am, as well as having a love for innovative ideas, I plopped my substantial body on top of the table. I was pleasantly surprised by the aggressiveness that the table was able to achieve in massaging the body, and felt it was probably the closest thing to an actual massage that was available.
I convinced the other doctors to purchase the display model right off the floor. We loaded it a van and the next morning it was running in our clinic. It was profitable from the very beginning. As far as I know, the clinic is still using that same table.
In 1997, I moved to Austin, Texas and purchased another clinic. My very first equipment purchase was a Sidmar massage table. I had a goal of doubling the practice within the first 6 months, and the table is an integral part of that plan. Within four months the table was working at capacity and I had to have another. Within a year, I had to purchase a third.
The tables function as an adjunct to the treatment the patients receive. Generally, the patient is placed on the table after they are treated to let them relax and allow the adjustment to settle in. It is not uncommon to hear snoring coming from the massage area after only about 2 minutes on the table. Frequently, the patients will ask for extra time. I believe this is a great compliment for the tables as the patients rarely ask to have extra of any other modality. I have no trouble getting reimbursed for the therapy, and to date it has never been questioned by any third party payor.
When I was first in practice, I employed various massage therapists as I have always believed massage to be an effective therapy to be used in conjunction with Chiropractic. But, there were always the problems, as there is with any employee, involving the occasional sick leave, or vacation, or personal problems that prevent them from coming in….well, you know what I mean. Since purchasing the tables, my need for a massage therapist is now non-existent. The tables never get sick, they are always on time, and they never get tired. They don’t complain, they work hard and they generally pay for themselves after about one month. No other therapist I have used can say that. The building I am in even has three other massage therapists, and they come to my office to lay on the tables when they are tired!
Besides being a great revenue source for the office, they also promote themselves. It is a very regular occurrence to have a new patient comes in, and after they are evaluated and treated, say, “I heard you have these great water tables…can I try it?” It seems that sometimes they are more interested in the massage than being treated by me, but I’ll take what ever it takes to get them in the office.
As of last month, I bought a second clinic in downtown Austin. Sticking with my original modus operandi, the first piece of equipment I bought was a Sidmar table. The trend is repeating itself already and I expect the practice to double within the next three months. I don’t believe I could achieve this fast of a growth curve without the tables.
My Sidmar hydrotherapy table has been a great asset to my staff, my practice, and myself. I have been a proud owner of a hydrotherapy table since June of 1999 and I absolutely love it.
My office is located in a small city with a population of approximately 30,000. I am the only Chiropractor in the area who utilizes a Sidmar hydrotherapy table. Once my patients have a session on it, they are hooked. I get a lot of new referrals this way. I see that everyone who walks through my door, whether they are a traveling salesperson or the mail lady, gets to try the table.
Doing business in a community of oil workers and commercial fisherman, the table definitely has its benefits. I use it to help my patients loosen up and relax before I adjust them. Sometimes I even use it at the end of my treatments to completely relax the muscles and increase the benefit of the adjustment. I have couples that come in for treatment at the same time and the table is great because I have my CA put one of them on it while the other is with me. They don’t seem to mind the wait at all, and I get referrals out of it.
I graduated as a doctor of Chiropractic in June of 1998. During Chiropractic school, I was taught the basics, but when I opened my own practice, it was up to me to decide which equipment to buy to suit my needs. I had never even given any thought to having a hydrotherapy table in my office until I was in Portland, Oregon on a business trip. A friend of mine had just recently opened her practice and she let me try her Sidmar table. I was hooked. I knew that I would be incorporating hydrotherapy into my practice.
When I bought the table, I was told that I was one of about six people in the state of Alaska who owns a Sidmar hydrotherapy table. If only the other doctors knew how it is helping me build my practice, they would be getting one (or two) for their business as well.
In addition to the benefits that my patients experience from the table I am happy to say that I get personal benefits as well. Being a Chiropractor and the strenuous work it entails is sometimes very hard on my body. It is not always convenient for me to get to the Chiropractor, so I incorporate the Sidmar hydrotherapy table into my own daily routine.
I purchased my hydrotherapy table in 1996. I had been in practice for 4 years prior to that and was using an intersegmental table for mobilization and relaxation.
I decided to try the hydrotherapy table after a colleague of mine told me how effective it was and how much it helped the patients. He also mentioned how much the patients enjoyed the therapy.
My new table was an immediate success. We use the table daily and have been extremely pleased with the results. Acute patients love the pain relieving effects of the hydromassage action. Patients with back spasms get immediate relief from the combination of the moist heat and massage. We do not have a massage therapist on staff, therefore, we utilized the hydrotherapy table to relax tight and painful musculoskeletal conditions such as acute lumbar strains and chronic osteoarthritis.
From my experience, the intersegmental table often aggravated acute pain. This has not been a problem, nor a concern, with the hydrotherapy table. I know when I put a patient on the hydrotherapy table that the discomfort will be alleviated and not aggravated.
We have used the hydrotherapy table for several unique problems. For ladies with menstrual cramps, 5 to 7 minutes face down on the table alleviates the pain. For athletes with painful gastrocs and hamstrings, lying outstretched on the table is a great cramp reliever. For a patient with rhomboid pain (i.e. patients who use computers and work desk jobs), I have them lay down on the table and let their arms go over their head. This opens up the interscapular regions and allows the warm massage action to relax the area.
We rarely use the intersegmental table since we have gotten the hydrotherapy table. Patients always request the hydrotherapy table and tell their friends and family about it. Patients referred to our office by other patients also request the hydrotherapy table.
