How does your table work?
You lie back completely clothed on the table. Just under the surface is a mattress filled with heated water. A pump propels the warm water towards you through three patented hydro-jets. The pressure of the water against your body provides a very effective massage that helps reduce pain and promotes relaxation.
Flotation: Water is extremely buoyant. When you lay on the water mattress, there is minimal strain on the weight bearing joints. Few, if any, muscles are required to hold the body up or in position. This helps your body relax.
Heat: Heat is evenly conducted through the skin and into the muscles and soft tissues of the body. The heat expands blood vessels, increases blood and lymphatic circulation, increases metabolism and has a sedative effect.
Massage: As the massage works on your body, muscle tension yields to the pressure of the water enabling the fibers to elongate and relax for the blood to flow freely and toxins to be released and eliminated. Massage is said to release endorphins. These neurochemicals relieve pain. As pain subsides, the muscles relax even more.

Can I control the temperature of the water?
The temperature of the water is controlled by an electronic thermostat which is adjustable from room temperature up to 107° Fahrenheit. Most people keep the temperature between 100°-107°. You just set it once and forget it. The temperature of the water takes a long time to change. Therefore you will not be changing the temperature for each use.

Can I control the how long the table runs?
Yes. Simply twist the timer located on the front of the table and the massage starts. You can set it from 3 minutes to 30 minutes and it will automatically turn off once the time has run out.

Can I adjust the massage to my own needs and comfort?
Yes. The pressure of the jets is adjustable from 12lbs. to 17lbs. of pressure. You can create just the right sensation, from gentle and soothing to powerful and invigorating. You select the appropriate level of massage pressure by turning the control knob located on the front of the table by the timer.

What are the electrical requirements?
The ComfortWave operates on a standard 110 volt outlet and draws 13 amps of power when the table is running. Make sure the table has enough power to operate. Most people simply plug the table into an outlet and start using it. A dedicated 20 amp outlet is best.

Are the tables the same as the one I tried at a business?
The ComfortWave is identical to the Professional model most businesses own except that it does not have an internal radiator. The radiator is only needed if the table runs all day long. No one who uses a table in their home has ever needed a radiator. Everything else is exactly the same.

Does it feel the same as the one Pro model I tried?
Yes. The ComfortWave has the same size water mattress with the same number of jets moving in the same pattern. The motor, heater, timer and variable massage are all the same.

How long does it take to get a table?
You can usually get a table delivered in 2 weeks or less. Tables shipped into Canada take a similar period of time.
Are there any restrictions for how long a person should be on the table?
A reasonable limit is 30 minutes and that is why we put 30 minute timers on our tables. Your body receives a great deal of benefit during a 10 or 15 minute session so there is no need to stay on the tables for extended periods of time.

Are the tables safe for everyone to use?
The tables provide a warm water massage so they are safe for use by nearly everyone. The tables comply with UL and CSA safety standards and are properly registered with the United States Food and Drug Administration. In general, people with heart or circulatory problems; phlebitis; skin infections or contagious diseases should get their doctor’s approval prior to treatment.

Is there a limit to the size of the person that can use the tables?
The weight limits is 350 pounds.

What is the warranty on the table?
One year parts warranty. If a part goes bad during that time, we will replace or repair it free of charge. We will send instructions with the parts and help guide you through the repair over the telephone. The tables have been designed to last for many years and require little maintenance.

Do you ever have to change the water?
No. The water in the mattress never needs to be changed but because of evaporation, you may need to add water periodically. Adding water is easy. Simply pull back the cloth cover, unscrew the fill cap and add distilled water.

What maintenance is required?
The maintenance is easy. Launder the water mattress covers and clean the upholstery with a warm cloth with a little soap. Periodically add water as some can evaporate over time and add a water conditioner called Clar-Lub every 4 months. The conditioner costs $9.95 plus postage. Learn more about the conditioner.

Is the table hard to assemble?
It is easy to assemble. The instructions that come with the table are very well written and include pictures. If you have questions you can simply call us and we can talk you through any difficulties over the phone. Thousands of tables have been assembled by our customers over the years and we rarely get calls for help.

What do I do if the table ever needs repairs?
Just call us at 800-330-7260 and we will ship you the parts and you can replace them yourself. All repairs can be done at home. If you are not comfortable doing repairs, you can usually get help from a pool or spa store as they regularly work on water pumps, plumbing, etc.

Can I move the table if I need to?
Yes. If you have 2 strong people, the table can be moved full. If that’s not possible, simply drain the table by hooking a hose to the connection under the table. Save the water that drains from the table and use it when refilling. Once the water is removed the tables are much lighter and can be moved like a piece of furniture. It takes two people to move the table (it's like moving a small couch).

What kind of financing do you have?

Will my insurance pay for the table?
You will have to talk to your insurance company yourself. Most insurance carriers will not pay for the table as not enough is known about how helpful the tables are in the treatment of specific conditions.
